Commissions galore!

Lots of commissions have found their sparkly way to people - they seem pleased, so hopefully the people receiving them as Christmas pressies will be equally pleased! :D One picked up today and one more to be delivered by hand on Friday :)

Saturday's fair at the Prince of Wales was a lot of fun, involving a dragon, balloons and a flying Lioness! That's the last one of the year, and am currently in the process of planning where I'll be throughout 2010, so keep your eyes and ears peeled!

I'm planning to get a lot more stock up on Folksy, but unfortunately I keep running out of daylight to photograph pieces in, and there's nothing more annoying than buying something and finding out when it arrives that it's a totally different colour than you expected! So that's my project for Sunday :)

All wrapped up for Christmas, just one or two little presents left to get now... and it SNOWED today and it feels all festive!

Be well :)

Pubs, commissions and the run-up to Christmas

Morning! Apologies for sporadic updates, the last few weeks have been even more manic than usual! I've had several commissions to complete and another two are in the works this week, there's nothing more satisfying than when people are pleased with the finished product :) Photos when I'm allowed to (most of them were for Christmas present purposes!) :) Also visited a happy customer yesterday at her request with some more of my creations, which was lovely.

I spent an evening at the Prince of Wales with my wares on Friday, borrowed Mum's services as a second seller, which was a new experience! Back there this coming Saturday, during the day, for their Farmers' Market, which should be fun. I've sneakily put a poster up in the library so hopefully there will be a fair few visitors!

The runup to Christmas has definitely started, I'm feeling festive! Will be uploading some festive sparkly things to Folksy in the near future, and taking them on Saturday as well. On the plus side, December's always a good excuse to eat lots. On the down side, I've just bought a new car and haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet, so can see myself doing the usual juggling act between two bank accounts and a credit card, sigh.

Hope you're all opening your advent calendars - I forgot to get one this year, must catch up!

Happy wrapping!

Folksy shop is live!

My Folksy shop is live! It can be found here: http://www.folksy.com/shops/duckingfabulous - it's so exciting! Just waiting for my PayPal account to be fully verified, then I'll be up and running properly!

If you were at the Wickham Bishops fair and saw something you fancied, give me a shout... I'll be adding more to the shop over the next few weeks, but if there's something specific (or not so specific, lol!) that doesn't pop up, just let me know!

The Wickham Bishops Christmas Bazaar...

The first craft fair was successful! I was really nervous beforehand - but once I'd got there and set up, I realised the table looked exactly how I'd planned it to, and I had a steady stream of customers all day, which was fab! My cousin Mimi and my mum came down and helped me run the stall, I'm immensely grateful to them as I would have struggled on my own!

I hope everyone who bought things is pleased with them, and that they brighten up people's days (or Christmas stockings!).

Had a phone call when I got home to ask me if I'd take my stock to the Prince of Wales pub for an evening and a daytime Christmas market - so I shall be there on Friday 4th December from 7pm and Saturday 12th December from 11am. Very exciting stuff!

Thanks all who came by, your custom and support was much appreciated! Off to follow up my enquiries now :)

Photos on their way...

I've had the busiest, most unexpectedly busy few days for a very long time... a very dear friend has arrived to stay for a couple of weeks, and the last few days have been spent catching up between working and her applying for her junior doctor placement! Consequently the jewellery making has taken a slight step backwards... this should be rectified this evening, and when I get the house to myself and some decent light, I shall be photographing all the new stock for the site :)

First Craft Fair!

Confirmed attendance at Wickham Bishops Christmas Bazaar, held at the Village Hall on 21st November 2009. Watch this space for details nearer the time!
I'll be bringing as much stock as I can, but if there's anything specific you've seen and you'd like me to bring or put aside, please let me know before the event by emailing me :)
