a wedding, a flat and a new addiction

... like I need any more addictions! Sewing is the latest one, or at least I'm trying to learn.

Went to Ali & James's much-anticipated wedding last Saturday, it was absolutely gorgeous. Held at Marwell Hall in Marwell Zoo, and the loveliest ceremony and day I've ever been to :)

Followed by a 600 mile roadtrip, during which I picked up a lot of inspiration from Lou as always, ended up buying this gorgeous fabric (left) and some vintage-inspired fat quarters...

This obviously meant I had to find a sewing machine, so I asked Gran if I could borrow hers. She's given me hers on the condition that I look after it!

So now all I have to do is actually learn to sew... lol!


Excitingly, I also put a deposit down on a flat today, so I have the perfect excuse to make things... cushions, throws, placemats, bunting... :)
